IG, who has fallen on hard times, has mobility issues and, due to little contact with community, friends or family, faces isolation and struggles daily. A regular at our Newcastle centre, he comes for company, warmth, food and support. Often forced to choose between food and energy, IG would greatly benefit from an air-fryer. At £50, this appliance would let him cook meals affordably, using less energy than an oven. Your help would bring warmth, dignity and hope to IG during this challenging time.

She struggles to work her contracted hours on occasions, due to her grief and emotions, which is then having an impact on her financially. This supported person has stated that the extra worry, anxiety and financial struggles are affecting her and that if she was to be successful in this application, then it would be a massive relief for her. Our client, who suffers from autism, is trying to make a fresh start in a new property after moving from the tenancy where her partner died to suicide. She has moved from a furnished to an unfurnished rental and is unable to meet the cost of setting up her new home. Our client is unable to work, due to her health, and is reliant upon Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment. This leaves her little after essential outgoings. Could you please help towards the cost of a fridge freezer?

MB, a vulnerable, single male who is currently sleeping rough, is battling with his immigration status. He has recently been in and out of hospital, due to ongoing health issues which cause pain in his arm and the loss of feeling in his legs. Because MB is sleeping rough, he really needs a warm winter coat and some essential food items. In addition, he must keep in regular contact with his Immigration Advisor, for which he will need £20 for a Tesco mobile SIM.

This lady, who has been referred to us by the local Housing Authority, is struggling as her housing benefit has been reduced, due to her being overpaid previously, and she also has rent arrears. Mum has four teenage children who are in desperate need of some new clothes. This request is for two of her children and there will be a separate request for the other two. A gift of £200 would be gratefully appreciated, especially as we approach the colder weather. Thank you.

T is recovering from a brain injury and, as a result, has had to move accommodation in order to downsize. She only has basic benefits at the moment and her independence has really been impacted through the injury. T has no carpet in the property and it would mean the world to her if she could have some carpet in the living room and the bedroom, as the weather has suddenly got so cold. We can use a local provider to carpet both rooms for £200. Please could you help?

My client, who is receiving counselling and practical support from the Sue Lambert Trust, has physical health needs which prevent her from being able to use a bath. Her shower has broken so she is struggling to find an alternative to keep clean, which she is finding very distressing. We have sourced a tap attached, long cord shower set and some slip mats to keep her safe. This would mean my client retains her independence and her dignity. Any support with this would be gratefully received.

He has no sofa or wardrobes and is struggling to settle in and feel at home here, so being able to buy a sofa and start decorating his home would make a world of difference.

This single mum, who regularly comes to our food pantry, has finally been given a home, however it is unfurnished. We have been able to source furniture, putting requests into the church, and supplied flooring, but we have not been able to source a bed and mattress for mum. Please could you help?

This young mum is in need of clothes and nappies for her three year old who has special needs. The family members are from Bulgaria and speak only a little English so are finding work is hard. Dad has found some work on a zero hours contract, but as the family does not yet have settled status, they are not entitled to any benefits. Being able to buy new clothes for their son would mean that he can be kept warm during the winter season, and nappies would keep him dry and comfortable. Please can you offer help to this family?

L needs a fridge freezer after a serious fire in her home. She has managed to scrape together most other items so far, but needs help with this larger item. L, who has two small children, has done remarkably well to remain positive through a really upsetting time. Please can you help?

C is a widowed lady living with her twenty five year old daughter who has many dietary needs. C's present cooker, which is old and has been repaired many times, finally broke down last week, plunging the bungalow into darkness. It is now irreparable and, at the moment, she has no means of cooking other than her microwave. C is desperate to find a second-hand replacement and have it installed before Christmas. She would be most grateful for your assistance.

F is a fifty nine year old asylum seeker who is homeless and is currently either staying in a night shelter or trying to sleep on buses. She has arthritis, glaucoma and high blood pressure, as well as emotional problems stemming primarily from a history of abuse and trafficking. F suffered female genital mutilation (FGM) as a child, and is vulnerable as an adult, fleeing from her country of origin to find safety here. She only has the clothes she is wearing and urgently needs a change of clothes, underwear, a warm coat and shoes.

A mid forties working adult had a stroke resulting in him being hospitalised for five months, suddenly becoming a full-time wheelchair user and being unable to continue working, so is now unemployed. This dad is also a carer for his young autistic son. His wife, the mother of their son, had to give up her job as a fully trained nurse, due to a cancer diagnosis. A stair lift is essential to access the upstairs bathroom (instead of being humiliated with using a commode), and ease the pressure on his wife who is now his carer.

S is a single mum who is struggling with rising cost of food, fuel and bills. She does not feel she has enough to pay for anything for the children for Christmas. S would not normally ask, but is very anxious this Christmas. She is working with Christians Against Poverty for debt help and is on a very tight budget. S has two teenagers to buy presents for and your gift would help to encourage this family over Christmas. Thank you very much for noticing this request.

J, a single mum with four children aged fifteen, thirteen, eight and one, is receiving Universal Credit and Child Benefit. Her fifteen year old daughter is autistic with severe mental health concerns. She has not been attending school, awaiting an Education Health & Care Plan. J secured a house transfer to be closer to school, but the house is in poor condition with no flooring. She also has mental health conditions and post traumatic stress disorder. We are requesting support towards flooring in the daughter's bedroom.

He receives Universal Credit, however, this leaves him with only £20 to live on after bills have been paid. F heavily relies on a foodbank to get his groceries, due to how little he has left.
