Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

A has been living undocumented in the UK for over ten years while trying to claim asylum after surviving trafficking. She has finally been granted refugee status in the UK and has been given temporary housing by the council. Her belongings are at the house where she has been sofa surfing, and she needs help with moving her belongings into her temporary housing. This funding would cover the cost of a car to take A and her belongings to her new home.

Total needed £50S is a single parent with a four year old child whose current washing machine has broken down. She is on Universal Credit, has no savings and has lots of debts. Following advice from Step Change, some of her benefit is taken to repay debts to various agencies. This is, therefore, reducing her available money to purchase a replacement machine. Any contribution to this much needed washer would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Total needed £185This young mum has a fourteen month old daughter and would like to get her room set up to be a safer place for her to play, now she is mobile. Due to a lack of storage, this baby is currently drawing on the floor as a form of stimulation, because her toys are getting broken or lost in the small space. Total needed £120B receives Universal Credit and is a volunteer with our local charity, Newbigin Community Trust. He is an asset when needing someone to accompany members of our local community to doctors and hospital appointments. B's car insurance is due and our team have managed to get the payment down to £600, but this is still expensive. Donations of £200 can be used to pay four monthly instalments which would really help B to manage his finances and continue with the voluntary work he does for our community.

Total needed £120A has been in recovery from alcohol dependency for twelve months and is doing really well rebuilding his life. He tells me that he had to leave the recovery home a month early, as his wife moved on to another man and left two teenage boys to fend for themselves. The home they are living is in desperate need of decorating, so it would be lovely if we could help him with funds to decorate a room, as he is trying so hard to make a home for the three of them to live in.
