Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
Due to having dysfunctional uterine bleeding and uterine adenomyosis our client needs to change their mattress regularly due to heavy blood staining. Our client is on Employment Support Allowance and doesn't work, and is finding the cost to replace the mattress a lot on top of the rising costs of every day items. She would be very grateful for any help towards this.

Total needed £175L is father of a 14 month old boy, and is expecting a baby daughter with his partner on New Year’s Eve. Their only household income is Universal Credit. Their flat is provided by the council and has suffered damp and mould problems which has affected their furniture, including beds and carpets. They are worried about the living room carpet, which now needs replacing for safety reasons, particularly ahead of the arrival of the new baby. Any contributions to a new carpet would be greatly appreciated.

Total needed £200C, who has been street homeless since 2019, came to us for support finding some warm clothing and food now that the weather is turning colder. We have been able to get some items donated from a local charity, however, he has very few items of clothing and they are very worn. C has no cooking facilities and no income so struggles to access food and is very malnourished. We are supporting him to find emergency housing, claim Universal Credit and to find work as this is his long term aim.
