It's been suggested a weighted blanket could help her, but her mum does not have the finances to buy one. Researchers believe weighted blankets are effective in alleviating physical and emotional symptoms and beneficial for treating anxiety. It would be really appreciated if you could help with purchasing a weighted blanket for this girl.

G, who has fallen on hard times, following a heart attack, has now been diagnosed with heart failure and is unable to work. He is struggling on a low benefit income of Universal Credit and is subject to deductions, due to an advance. G is awaiting the outcome of his health assessment, but this will take weeks. He doesn't have an operational cooker and has no means to be able to buy a new one. Would you please consider helping this gentleman to purchase a cooker? Thank you.

This man has been hospitalised recently, due to a mental health breakdown, and he is now ready to be discharged back into the community. Unfortunately, while he has been in hospital, he has lost his home and all his belongings, so is asking for help with some clothes, a kettle, plates and cups, until he gets permanent accommodation. Due to this man being in hospital for a period of time, his Universal Credit claim has been impacted and, therefore, he finds himself in financial difficulties.

This client suffers from extreme anxiety and Asperger's Syndrome, and has been living in a mental health rehabilitation project for the past two years. He is now ready to move on and has been offered an unfurnished council tenancy. This client has never lived independently before and has no household goods to help equip his new home. He works for a charity part-time and his low wage will not meet the cost of the items needed. Your help towards the cost of a fridge freezer would be very much appreciated.

Our applicant, who has multiple physical and mental health difficulties, recently lost her son, who was her only family support. Due to her mobility difficulties, she is being moved to a bungalow, but as she is on an extremely low income and doesn't have enough to live on, she is unable to afford any white goods. Our applicant's current washing machine has broken down and a replacement would be invaluable. Any donations to enable her to secure a new machine would be gratefully appreciated.

W is a lady who has been unwell for the last eight months and has been in and out of hospital for a very long time. Due to her ill health, she has lost a lot of weight and all the clothes she had from before do not fit any more. W needs financial support to help with buying some new and warm clothes that can fit her and keep her warm, as she continues to get treatment. She also needs to buy some healthy foods to keep a balanced diet, as she is on continuous medication.

Please can you help P? He had a major stroke earlier this year and exercise is part of his rehabilitation. He is still unable to work and uses taxis to get around. P has been advised to go to the gym to help with his recovery. The cost of transport for six weeks worth of sessions is £96 which he is unable to find on his limited budget. P would be so grateful for any help towards this, as he is determined to get on the road to recovery.

JH is an elderly gentleman who receives Pension Credit. He recently moved into a ground floor flat, due to being bullied by his private landlord and his health issues. He did purchase a second-hand cooker, but it does not work and the person he bought it from is not answering his calls. JH, who has numerous health issues and has had a recent diagnosis of bowel cancer, needs a cooker to cook healthy meals, but has no family to help.

R fled domestic abuse and has moved around a lot recently, between a refuge, hostel, sofa surfing and temporary accommodation. She has recently had health issues which have led to her becoming a wheelchair user. R has recently moved into permanent accommodation, but it has no carpets in the bedroom. She would appreciate your support in carpeting her bedroom, making it more comfortable. Many thanks.

S is a mum of two children and also a carer to her mum who has been in a coma in the hospital for the past few months. S has been unable to work, due to the commitments of looking after her mum as well as the children when they are back from school. She goes to the hospital four times a week, which is out of the area. This has been really costly for her, as sometimes she needs a taxi from hospital to get to the kids school for pick up on time. Please could you help us to supply a bus pass and train tickets for a month and food vouchers?

E is a single mother with three children who are living in a council accommodation. She has recently been diagnosed with cancer in her neck, which has now been removed. On Friday, mum returned to the hospital for radio-therapy. As a result, she needs to sleep apart from her children (in the living room), to protect them from the radiation she is emitting. A sofa-bed is necessary to protect E's children and give her peace of mind.

X is living on the breadline and has had an issue with her bank which, although now resolved, means she needs help over the next few months to pay for utilities and her mortgage. She was beaten up in the past which left her with mental health issues that may have contributed to the problems she is experiencing at present. Please would you help this lady to get past this difficulty?

J, a six year old girl, has severe allergies and now has to carry an EpiPen. One of her allergies is to dust mites and this means she does not sleep well. Her parents have made lots of changes to her bedroom to minimise her exposure to dust, but her single mattress is very old and a new mattress is beyond their reach. It will, however, make a big difference to J, enabling her to sleep better. Thank you for your help.

T is recovering from a brain injury and, as a result, has had to move accommodation in order to downsize. She only has basic benefits at the moment and her independence has really been impacted through the injury. T has no carpet in the property and it would mean the world to her if she could have some carpet in the living room and the bedroom, as the weather has suddenly got so cold. A mid forties working adult had a stroke resulting in him being hospitalised for five months, suddenly becoming a full-time wheelchair user and being unable to continue working, so is now unemployed. This dad is also a carer for his young autistic son. His wife, the mother of their son, had to give up her job as a fully trained nurse, due to a cancer diagnosis. A stair lift is essential to access the upstairs bathroom (instead of being humiliated with using a commode), and ease the pressure on his wife who is now his carer.
