£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
Our beneficiary is a young adult who has recently moved into unfurnished accommodation in a new area, having fled domestic violence. They are in need of a fridge freezer so that food can be stored safely, will keep for longer and economical frozen options can be bought in bulk. Our beneficiary, who is living on Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment, has limited money once the bills have been paid. Please can you help by contributing towards a fridge freezer?
We have been asked if we can help this lady who was unable to afford to stay in her two bedroom flat and has moved into a studio flat with her frail husband. They have no space to store personal belongings and the temporary solution found has given them a few days to find alternative storage or her belongings will be destroyed. The lady is in her second year as a student, studying theology and religion, and cannot afford the storage costs. This will provide her with time to find a longer solution.
N suffers from various health issues such as COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and depression. His mental health deteriorated severely when he lost his job and had to move out from his flat. N, who has no family or friends around, found himself with nothing and is now living in an unfurnished flat. He started having back problems, due to sleeping on two cushions, and is desperate to get a sofa bed so he can enjoy not only a bed at night time, but also a sofa in the day time.
