L, who previously had a leak downstairs due to a burst pipe when the weather was freezing, could not afford to have her heating on at her property which has left her with a cold concrete floor. The kitchen area and downstairs toilet have been like this for some years. L has physical and mental health issues and is unable to work. Her benefits and low income make it impossible for her to save up to get this work completed.
This application is for a seventeen year old female who has an eight month old son. She has been moved into our accommodation, due to domestic violence within her relationship. Mum currently has no household items and both her and the baby are sleeping on an air bed. Any amount that can be donated towards a cot and mattress will be a huge help towards making the house a safe home for her and her son.
H started employment eight weeks ago and, on her first month's payment, the company overpaid her. She didn't realise, in the excitement of never being paid before, and seeing that kind of money. With her two youngest children's Christmas approaching, H overspent. Her employer has notified her and is deducting the overpayment over three months; however, she is now behind on the nursery fees by £366.00. Please can we make a £200 payment towards this, allowing H to then set up a payment plan to cover the rest?
