£150 remaining for a washing machine
Z has had to flee financial and emotional abuse from her husband, and has been in temporary accommodation for the past year with her two young children. She has just moved into permanent social housing which is without any white goods. Z is looking to start over her life afresh, but is currently getting by without these essential goods. She would like to use an Acts 435 donation to buy a washing machine.
K lives with her partner and four year old who is waiting for a diagnosis for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Mum has a number of health concerns and is also caring for her partner who has had a heart attack and still awaiting Personal Independence Payment and the fitting of a wet room. The family are currently only receiving Universal Credit which just covers absolute essentials, and are regularly having to attend food larders. The washing machine is broken and the family is unable to purchase a new one so we are requesting support for this.
B is a single mum with a four year old and a two week old baby. Her four year old has speech delay. Mum is currently in receipt of Universal Credit and regularly needs to use the local foodbank. The fridge freezer has broken, meaning she is unable to store food, especially the milk for her baby (she is breast feeding, but needs to store milk as well). We are requesting support for B to purchase a replacement fridge freezer and support her young family.
P has recently moved into supported accommodation to rebuild his life after being released from prison. He has no belongings as his possessions had to be destroyed due to a severe cockroach infestation in his previous accommodation. P has very limited clothing so we are asking for support to purchase clothes and shoes.
