£150 remaining for clothing for two teenagers
L is a single mum to a teenage boy and girl. Her son is autistic and she is his carer. This limits the number of hours mum can work and, although she has a job as a teaching assistant, it is only part-time. The cost of living crisis has impacted on her severely and she is in debt from just trying to pay bills while in work poverty. Now L's growing children need new warmer clothes and she is unable to buy them. Any help you could offer would be very much appreciated.
This family of refugees from Afghanistan, who came to the UK in the summer, do not have any recourse to public funds and are really struggling. Their eldest daughter is six years of age and needs new school uniform as she has had a growth spurt and the weather has turned very cold recently. They would also like to buy an air-fryer to make cooking easier for them. Your help would be very much appreciated.
This young man, who comes from a challenging background with no role models, has limited support from friends or family and relies on charity. He is in need of a coffee table and sofa, to make his home comfortable, and a vacuum cleaner. It would also be really helpful to get this young man some curtains. He would be delighted if someone was to help change his outlook on life. Thanks for supporting this young man's first chapter in living independently
J has recently been released from prison and all he has ever done is work as a taxi driver, but his licence has lapsed. He has been told by his employer that he can have his job back instantly, however, he needs to resit his licence and sit in front of a panel with the local authority. The costs are going to be around £750 including the medical etc. We would love to be able to raise some funds towards this from you all at Acts 435 to help get this person's life back on track.
