£50 remaining for pans, crockery and cutlery
This man has secured a flat after a long history of rough sleeping, ongoing from his teenage years, and this is a massive step forward for him. We have secured some funding for major appliances and clothing for him from other sources, but he needs an array of pans, crockery and cutlery so he can cook for himself in his new home. This is something he is looking forward to as he has recently keenly attended a cookery class with one charity which is supporting him!
R is a lovely single man who is isolated and living alone with no friends or family. He is being supported by AGE UK, due to being made homeless, but now has a new home which is completely unfurnished. He would love to have a cooker, as he enjoys cooking and eating as healthy as possible on a limited budget. R is in poor health and on basic benefits with no savings, so cannot afford to buy a cooker.
J and A live, who live in a newly acquired, unfurnished Housing Association property, could not afford their rent so were evicted. Since then they have been homeless for two years, having lived for six months in a tent before being housed in temporary accommodation. They are on a very low income, with no savings, as A is in receipt of basic state pension and J is on Universal Credit. This couple are very grateful for any help towards a cooker, as they only have a microwave to cook with currently.
My client is a single mum with three children under the age of eight. She was in temporary accommodation for two years, after leaving an abusive partner. In the last few months, mum has been allocated a home which was in a bit of a state. She doesn't have the money to buy a freezer, which would save her money in the long term. Please can you help?
