£200 remaining for car insurance
B receives Universal Credit and is a volunteer with our local charity, Newbigin Community Trust. He is an asset when needing someone to accompany members of our local community to doctors and hospital appointments. B's car insurance is due and our team have managed to get the payment down to £600, but this is still expensive. Donations of £200 can be used to pay four monthly instalments which would really help B to manage his finances and continue with the voluntary work he does for our community.
This family have just moved into new accommodation. C is a lone parent who is living with her two young children and receiving Universal Credit and Child Benefit. She had to flee her family home, due to domestic abuse, and moved temporarily into a single room in a hotel, but has now secured permanent accommodation. At this stressful time, C would greatly benefit from some donations towards bedroom furniture, namely three chests of drawers and two pairs of curtains, to help make a home for her children.
A, a single mother with two young children under the age of six, receives Universal Credit and Child Benefit. She recently moved to a first-floor flat, but the neighbours complain about noise, as there are no carpets and this also makes the flat seem cold. A, who works part-time while her children are in school, is willing to pay for underlay to reduce the noise, but needs assistance to cover the cost of carpets for the bedroom and living room. Your help would be appreciated.
