£185 remaining for driving lessons and the driving test fee
We would love you to join us in supporting a lady who has turned her life around by going sober and working her way out of debt. She is learning to drive so her and her son can be more independent. Thanks to backpay from her benefits, this lady has been able to pay for most of her lessons, but does not quite have enough for the test fees and two more lessons. She would be so grateful for your support to get her through this final stage of learning to drive.
S, who lives with his brother in a privately rented flat, has become his brother's carer, due to his brother having poorly controlled diabetes and asthma. Both are struggling financially as they are only on Universal Credit currently. They only have a fridge to store their food, but need a freezer to make shopping and meal preparation more economical. S and his brother have no savings and are having welcome support with debt and money management. They would appreciate help to buy a freezer.
W was self employed until an injury left him with a disability and he is no longer able to work; he is now in receipt of benefits. He shares custody of his two young children with his previous partner. His washing machine has just broken and is not viable to fix, and with young children to support and a limited budget W is struggling with launderette fees. He would really appreciate any support you can give to enable him to get a new one. W is being supported by his local Food Bank.
G, who has fallen on hard times, following a heart attack, has now been diagnosed with heart failure and is unable to work. He is struggling on a low benefit income of Universal Credit and is subject to deductions, due to an advance. G is awaiting the outcome of his health assessment, but this will take weeks. He doesn't have an operational cooker and has no means to be able to buy a new one. Would you please consider helping this gentleman to purchase a cooker? Thank you.
