£150 remaining for electric and mobile bills, a food order and a travel voucher
A is an amazing mum who is doing her best to get on her feet, but has had all her benefits stopped as a result of a malicious complaint. Although she is working part-time and doing her best, mum just doesn’t have enough money to pay her bills. Despite her difficulties, A is regularly around our church helping others and just needs a bit of help to bridge the gap until her job centre meeting. Please can you help with her electricity, mobile, food for mum and her son and bus fares? Thank you.
T was assaulted three years ago, which resulted in pregnancy and her losing her job and rented home, and becoming homeless while heavily pregnant. T and her daughter, who is now two years old, have constantly been moved between different homeless accommodations. Where they have now been placed has cracked tiles everywhere on the floor, which is unsafe for her daughter. T spent the last of her money on a moving van and would like help with a carpet. Having somewhere decent to live will help T rebuild her life.
This woman I support is fleeing a domestic abuse situation and is in need of support whilst she awaits a decision on her asylum claim. She currently has no recourse to public funds and only receives a very small weekly allowance from a charity. This woman requires a shopping voucher to buy food, winter clothing and shoes suitable for the cold weather in the UK, which she will not otherwise be able to obtain.
A is a single dad with two girls aged nine and thirteen who have been living with him since earlier this year. He has worked hard to stabilise their lives and finances. Dad drives a bus one day a week in addition to looking after the girls, but still struggles to make ends meet. His washing machine needs to be replaced, but he cannot afford to do this himself.
