£0 remaining for Christmas gifts and food for four children
After fleeing domestic violence and being moved to a new area, K is doing a great job with her four children aged thirteen, twelve, six and four. Trying to settle them into new schools is especially difficult for the three youngest, as they all have special needs and struggle with change. K is unable to work as she is a full-time carer for the children. She has been trying to replace items she had to leave behind and this leaves no money left for Christmas. Please could you help them with gifts and food?
D, who is cohabiting, living with 3 dependent children, currently claiming Universal Credit, Child Benefit and Child DLA. Due to the cost of living, they have been struggling to afford the basics with extra needs of their disabled daughter, and the family needs help with new clothes and new bedding for her. Due to a skin condition, she cannot sleep because of the irritation this is causing. They also need somewhere to store clothes so dust doesn't get on them, which is causing more irritation.
E, a single mum to two teenagers, is getting used to relying on benefits after a string of bad luck. She had three people drive into her within two weeks of starting a new, well paid job. This has left her with physical and emotional health difficulties. The car was also written off, which left her unable to travel to work, meaning she lost her job and can no longer afford the repayments on her debts. E is working with us to mange her money and get back into work. Please can you help us support her over Christmas with a food voucher and utilities?
R is a single mum to two children who has no recourse to public funds. She has submitted an application to the Home Office and has been waiting for a response for the past six months. She is unable to work at the moment until she receives a response from the Home Office. R has used almost all of her savings on food and bills. She is requesting for support with gas and electric top-up vouchers to keep them warm, and food vouchers to provide food for herself and children.
