£120 remaining for a carpet
This lady has recently had to flee from an abusive relationship and has been rehomed with her son. Her new home doesn't have any carpet and mum would really appreciate help in making her house into a home for them. She works part-time whilst also caring for her mum, but can't afford the cost of carpet that she needs and would be very grateful for your help.
M, who is disabled, has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), mobility issues due to having surgery on both knees and his lower back, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and poor mental health. Due his health conditions, M has been rehoused into a bungalow, but unfortunately, there are no carpets down throughout the property and this is affecting his health, due to the dust impacting on his breathing and mobility. Carpeting the property would have a huge impact on M's health and wellbeing. Please can you help with the fitting cost?
B has poor mental health and has been living in supported accommodation for five years. He has now moved into his own flat and has got together most of the furnishings he needs, but he has no carpets so his home is starting to feel cold and uncomfortable. B receives Universal Credit, but is struggling to cover his everyday bills so cannot afford to pay for these himself. Carpet can be provided through the Acts 435 partnership, but your help to cover the fitting costs would be much appreciated.
S, a single mum who is really struggling to get by at the moment, is behind with some of her bills and this is really affecting her mental health. The major issue is the cost of heating her home, as mum has no floor coverings down anywhere in her house and her bills are really high. Mum's only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings so can't afford floor coverings. Please could you help us to make her home into a warm, homely place for her and her children by donating towards the fitting cost of the free of charge carpets?
