£90 remaining for a cooker
Our beneficiary is a young mother with two children under six years, who is struggling to pay off historic debts whilst trying to keep up with current bills. She is on a low income and receives Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment. The family is being supported by Family Solutions. The current cooker is more than 15 years old and beyond repair. We would like to raise funds towards making a proper functioning cooker a reality, so that the family can have a wider range of dishes.
K, a cleaner for a wealthy lady, has been evicted, needed to find new housing and has lost her job. She is very dynamic and a go getter, but is beset with health problems. K has chronic arthritis and is about to have an operation on her foot which will mean she won't be able to work for twelve months. She has been given housing and we are helping her furnish it, but it comes without a cooker. Please can you help K to get a cooker?
J is a single man who has been living in supported accommodation. He is on a considerable amount of medication for schizophrenia, anxiety, and arthritis in his legs. He is moving to council housing which is completely empty. J is excited about his move, but has no furniture, and as he is only in receipt of Employment Support Allowance he is unable to afford any. We are requesting support for an oven for when he moves.
