Our client is a single mum who lives with her 14 year old daughter in accommodation provided by the local authority. They have been there for the past 3 years but are now starting to struggle. Our client has previously received advice relating to her debts and had a Debt Relief Order carried out in December 2019. Since then, the client has accrued further debts due to her significant mental health difficulties and her inability to work full time hours.
K is a single mum with a challenging home life. She has a five year old child with Autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). He trashes her home and urinates around the house, therefore, her carpets are ruined and needed destroying. K can't afford to replace them with a more suitable floor covering, such as vinyl, as her income is low and she has no savings. Could some kind Acts 435 donors help us to make her home more suitable for her and her family? We have flooring that has been provide free of charge, but would be so grateful for help towards the fitting cost.
K is a full-time carer for her partner who has COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and their child who both have additional needs. They are a low income family and K's only income is Universal Credit. K has no carpets down in multiple rooms and she simply cannot afford to fund the cost of fitting them. Carpets in the property would be a major improvement for all the family, especially K's partner who suffers in cold, damp weather. Any support given would be very gratefully received.
