£200 remaining for a washing machine
C is a single parent who is socially isolated, having moved to a new area after fleeing domestic abuse, and is being supported by Women’s Aid. Mum and her two year old are now living in a council property, but they do not have a washing machine. C's child is still in nappies and mum is having to hand wash all their clothes as best she can. She has limited family support and is struggling financially. C has previously injured her hands and wrists, so the handwashing is taking its toll.
This thirty four year old single mum of two, aged sixteen and one, moved into a house fifteen months ago and is currently paying off debts owed from when she was younger. Her youngest child is in need of a toddler bed with storage, due to the size of the room. As mum is in receipt of benefits, her income is tight and she is struggling to save, once bills and debt payments have been paid. Please can you help towards this bed with storage and a mattress? Thanks.
This client is a young parent who had a difficult childhood and was in local authority care for many years. She recently fled from an abusive relationship in order to keep her child, and suffers with poor mental health, due to past experiences. This client moved into a hostel when she left the perpetrator and has now been offered an unfurnished tenancy. She cannot afford to set up her new home as she is reliant upon Universal Credit. Could you please help towards the cost of a washing machine?
This family, who have a two year old, have been through a huge amount. Mum had to be relocated in an emergency, due to being targeted in the community by violent behaviour, and is in a house which is incredibly sparse. Mum has been working hard with social care to rebuild their lives, is now in a stronger position emotionally, but would really appreciate some help financially with getting a new cooker, as hers has now broken.
