£0 remaining for a washing machine
M, who has been living in temporary accommodation, has now secured a tenancy to move into, but it is unfurnished and he has no furniture or white goods. He has no savings and is on a low income which doesn't allow him to save towards much. Friends and family have helped with a few items, but M has been unable to get a washing machine and is struggling to keep his clothes clean. Your support to get a replacement machine will mean he can rely on being able to leave the house in clean clothes.
G, who suffers with mental health problems and is unfit for work, receives Universal Credit, but has deductions to cover large debts, leaving her struggling to meet her living costs. She has had a hernia operation which causes her some discomfort and is struggling to get any sleep at night. G's mattress is very old and in such a poor state that it is making the pain worse. She would be so grateful for help to buy a new mattress so that she can be comfortable in bed and hopefully sleep better.
D, has been referred to Romero by his support worker for our help, is moving into his own accommodation and needs to buy a bed, mattress and wardrobe. He receives benefits, but hopes to start on a training programme in the New Year. D sleeps on the sofa, which is impacting on his physical and mental health, and he feels exhausted due to not having a proper night's sleep. Please would you help us to support D, so that he can turn up for training rested and ready to learn, giving him a fresh start?
CL, who needs a cooker as his current one is broken, is currently struggling a lot with his mental health and is on limited income. He is unable to afford essentials like food and drink, especially the ability to cook any meals with no longer having a working oven. £200 can definitely help in getting a working oven to make this possible.
