£190 remaining for a second hand tumble dryer and a microwave
E is a refugee from Afghanistan who came to this country a few years ago, having to leave his family behind. Recently his family have been able to be reunited with him and they are setting up their home. Although they can wash their clothes they are in need of a tumble dryer as there is no space where they can dry their clothes. They are also needing a microwave so that some food can be prepared more efficiently to keep control of their electricity bills.
S has recently moved into a housing association flat after being homeless. He is delighted to have the security of a home, however, it is unfurnished. A friend lent him a washing machine and a fridge, but now he needs them back. His only income is from benefits, so he can just get by, but he doesn’t have any spare money to buy white goods. Your help to buy a fridge will mean a great deal to him as he tries to become settled.
These refugee parents and their three children have just arrived in the area and have been provided with a house. The children are going to be in local schools where they will have to wear uniforms. When the children start at school they will feel "different" and out of place. but your help to provide uniforms and be dressed the same as other children will assist their settling in.
G is struggling with various disabilities and debts, and her washing machine has now broken down. It is irreparable, so she really needs a new one. Since she can't work due to her age and disabilities, and is currently working out how to pay back her debts, she can't afford to pay for it herself. Your generous support would really help her. Thank you.
