R, who has been engaging with us for the past two years, has completed his coffee training and certification and now has a part-time job in a church café. He was living in a homeless hostel for over two years and has recently been able to move into a flat. R is starting to look at other jobs, and a passport for ID would be really helpful. Although he is working part time, he does not have income to support this, on top of sorting his flat and day-to-day expenses.
This female, who is in her late thirties, has a diagnosis of dysfunctional sacroiliac joints and her hips are also inverted. This remarkably positive lady runs an under fourteens football club on a voluntary basis. Her state-provided powered wheelchair does not fit into her car, but a lightweight mobility scooter would give her independence and let her carry on her excellent community work.
