£0 remaining for flooring
Our Foodbank client, partner and their four kids have finally moved into a bigger property, being overcrowded for years. Both parents are unemployed, due to mental health issues, and are having do most of the decoration refurbishment themselves. They have been quoted £2.6k by a company to install in all rooms and the hallway, but they can afford this, so to buy flooring and install it themselves will be £700. This is the first of two requests and will be for the living room and kitchen.
Our client is a child who has recently arrived from Afghanistan to reunite with the rest of his family here in the UK. Their family is solely living off of the eldest brother's benefits and is currently struggling greatly with living expenses. They need help with essentials such as food and winter clothes (jackets, jumpers and shoes) which can be costly. Additionally, we will use a portion of these funds to top up their oyster card and provide them with vouchers to spend on other necessities.
