£0 remaining for floor covering
£200 is requested towards suitable floor covering for a young couple and their fifteen month old baby. They were formerly homeless and in a hostel, but have now been allocated a new rental property with no floor covering except in the kitchen and bathroom. There is bare concrete downstairs and bare timber on the stairs and upstairs, which is not suitable for a baby. The couple are on Universal Credit and cannot afford the necessary floor covering.
This client of the Sue Lambert Trust has a bedbug infestation after purchasing a second-hand bed and mattress. She is feeling really distressed, as she is covered in bites which have become infected. This client already suffers with poor mental health, which is being exacerbated by this situation. She cannot afford to pay for the professional pest control treatment, as she is on a ten hour working contract with a very low income. This client will also need to replace her quilt and appreciates any support offered.
This woman, who was referred to us by the Social Prescriber, was forced to move from her flat, due to severe abuse and threatening behaviour from neighbours, which escalated to the point that the police became involved. In addition to this trauma, this woman suffers from multiple physical health problems, including spinal cauda equina. The only piece of furniture she was able to take with her is a fridge. We urgently request your assistance with a washing machine, including delivery and installation.
V and her teenage daughter have just moved into a new property and they have no cooker. Mum lives just on Universal Credit and is struggling to make ends meet. She doesn't have sufficient funds to purchase a cooker to allow them to make meals. V would really appreciate your support in purchasing a cooker. Many thanks
