£0 remaining for a washing machine
My client, who has two school aged children, has been without a washing machine for two months. She struggles financially with her daily needs and relies heavily on food and fuel banks to look after her household. My client doesn't have any family or friends close by so cannot use their washing machine, and the cost of a laundrette is eating away at their food budget. Christians Against Poverty has recently helped with her debts, but mum is unable to work, due to female health issues.
Our client is a child who has recently arrived from Afghanistan to reunite with the rest of his family here in the UK. Their family is solely living off of the eldest brother's benefits and is currently struggling greatly with living expenses. They need help with essentials such as food and winter clothes (jackets, jumpers and shoes) which can be costly. Additionally, we will use a portion of these funds to top up their oyster card and provide them with vouchers to spend on other necessities.
C is a 43 year old gentleman with disabilities who is also battling to overcome addiction issues. He has recently been re-homed for a fresh start, however he has limited funds to start his new life. He really needs a bedding set including a duvet and cover, a pillow, pillowcase and a sheet. We will order the items for him with a view to helping with his fresh start.
K is a single mum with two boys under 10 years old, both with special needs. Her only income is benefits and she is unable to afford to buy winter school uniforms and pay her energy bills. Would you please help K so that she can buy some school jumpers, trousers & shoes to see her boys through the school year?
