£0 remaining for a single bed with mattress and bedding
J has recently moved into his partner's property but, due to her mental health and suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), he needs to sleep in a separate bedroom. J has been unwell and off work for several months and has no funds to buy a single bed and mattress, along with initial bedding. His partner is on minimal benefits so is unable to help with the cost.
J is a single mum with a teenage son. She has been deemed to be not fit for work and receives Universal Credit and Employment Support Allowance. Mum recently had a break-in at her home and extensive damage was caused to her fridge freezer, rendering it unusable. J does not have insurance cover and cannot afford to replace it. With a growing son, your support in replacing her fridge freezer would make a massive difference to them, allowing them to shop and cook economically. Thank you.
L has three young children who share a bedroom. Currently, the children have no storage in their bedroom, so it is very difficult to keep their clothes tidy and clean. Mum would really like to be able to get some wardrobes and chests of drawers so that she can keep their room tidy. However, L is not currently able to work and her Universal Credit only just covers daily living costs, so she is not able to save towards anything.
M has just moved into a supported housing hostel, but it does not have a washing machine. He has very few possessions and no savings, and his income only just covers daily living expenses, so he can't afford to purchase a washing machine himself. Your help to get a replacement would mean that M could look after his clothes and keep them clean and fresh, also helping to build confidence in leaving home and socialising, knowing that he has clean clothes to wear.
