£0 remaining for taxis to and from hospital
This lady, who is on nightly kidney dialysis, is awaiting a kidney transplant. She is a positive person and unable to work, but volunteers (when able to) at the community hub. This lady had an important meeting with her specialist at a hospital some way from where she lives and, at the last minute, her normal lift was unable to help due to Covid. Despite asking different people, she had to get a taxi there and back which she cannot afford as she lives on Universal Credit. Please can we help her cover this cost?
T, a single parent who also works as a nurse, is struggling with debt and trying to make ends meet, but has no recourse to public funds. In order to get to her shift on time in the morning, mum has to take a taxi journey of nine miles to work, as she is unable to drop off her young daughter at breakfast club before school early enough to be able to take a bus. Please would you help to support her as she tries to care for her child while finding ways to get herself back on her feet?
R lives with her partner and two children aged three and four. Her four year old has autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Mum is in receipt of Universal Credit and Child Benefit. Her chest freezer has broken; she goes shopping once a month in order to batch buy and the freezer means the food lasts longer. Due to her son's conditions, he is a picky eater and going shopping is difficult. We are requesting support for her to be able to replace her freezer.
