£0 remaining for a washing machine
Our applicant is a teenager living with his mum who suffers severely with her mental health and is unable to work. He would like to help his mum by raising some funds to put towards a second-hand washing machine. This teenager has been referred by the special school that he attends. What a wonderful gesture from a son to think of others.
G, who lives with her husband and looks after her grandson two days and nights per week, has a number of health conditions including spondylosis and arthritis. Her husband has problems with his knees and hands, as well as diabetes. Their grandson has autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and they look after him to help their daughter who also has poor health. G, who receives Pension Credit, is struggling to cook safely. An electric multi-cooker will assist with this, as G will not need to lift it, which she is unable to do at the moment.
C lives with her son who is thirty five years of age and has a brain injury. Mum has fragile X syndrome, leading to learning disabilities. She is in receipt of Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment. C currently has no cooker, and is having to live off microwave meals which is not sufficient for herself or her son. We are requesting support for an oven so that they can cook nutritious meals.
J, a mum of three children aged fifteen, ten and four, is also seven months pregnant. The fifteen year old has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism. Mum receives Universal Credit meaning that she has limited funds. The family oven keeps cutting out and is dangerous. We are requesting support for the family to be able to purchase an oven for safety, and nutritious meals.
