Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
A has recently been housed in a studio apartment, due to domestic violence, and had to leave all her belongings behind. The property she moved into is unfurnished apart from one bed. This money would be used to purchase a dining table and chairs, a lamp and a saucepan, including the delivery cost. We have supported A with some other items, but she needs a table to eat at.
Still £140 left to donate
Total needed £150This single mother, who lives in London, has a six month old baby. Mum is so excited that her little one is now starting on solids, and beginning to sit up and become more mobile. She would like a high chair and a floor support to help her baby as she learns to sit up. Mum has no recourse to public funds and would struggle to get these items for her daughter without your help.
Still £60 left to donate
Total needed £60This young person, who is currently age disputed, is a minor who has been assessed to be an adult and is trying to challenge it. He needs money to buy winter clothing and shoes to get through this bitter cold (he only has flipflops at the moment) and also to travel to appointments to have the best shot at a successful claim. We would be topping up his oyster card and buying a voucher to be used for shoes, a coat and winter jumpers.
Still £130 left to donate
Total needed £130This client was formerly living in supported accommodation and has recently secured his own flat. The flat is empty and, as his only income is Universal Credit, he is unable to buy the essential items needed to settle into the accommodation. He is currently studying and would really appreciate a small table which he could use for this purpose. He also has nothing to cook with so an air fryer would be a wonderful addition to make his new place more like home. Thank you for reading this.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200RD, a single mother and survivor of domestic violence, has three children, one at university. She needs a laptop for her children to do their homework. There is an old laptop in the home and it grieves mum's heart to see them fighting over the use of it. RD is a part-time cleaner in a care home and cannot afford to buy a replacement. Please would you help her to bring changes and happiness to this home? Thank you.
