Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

N, a young woman who has completed rehabilitation and is making great progress, is settling in really well to volunteering at Glasgow City Mission. She now has her new flat, but before she can fully move in, needs flooring for it, especially for her hallway, bathroom and lounge, not least because the flooring is not in great shape. N would be really grateful if she could get help with this, so that she can fully move in and continue to create a stable home that will continue to help her thrive.

Total needed £100S has been in her home for six months now and in order to finish her flat off, she would love to get flooring for her bedroom, and materials to decorate and brighten her home. Previous support has made her home so much more liveable than it was and she has shown great resilience for a young woman who is setting up home, recovering from an abusive relationship and adjusting to a new culture. S is proactive and continues to meet with our counsellor to improve her language skills, building her confidence step by step.

Total needed £180M has recently been granted leave to remain after suffering from persecution in his country of birth. He has applied for a white goods package from his local authority, but this did not include a washing machine. M, who lives in a high rise building and cannot afford to use a local laundry, gets limited benefits, but has managed to get a local part-time job as a cleaner, to help him with basic necessities. Any help you could offer would be so welcome.
