Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

A has been in recovery from alcohol dependency for twelve months and is doing really well rebuilding his life. He tells me that he had to leave the recovery home a month early, as his wife moved on to another man and left two teenage boys to fend for themselves. The home they are living is in desperate need of decorating, so it would be lovely if we could help him with funds to decorate a room, as he is trying so hard to make a home for the three of them to live in.

Total needed £150S came to the UK as a refugee and successfully set up and ran his own business for a time. Sadly, following Covid, this failed and he also ended up losing his home. He was homeless for two years, mainly sofa surfing, but has now moved into his own flat. S is surviving on Universal Credit and has little to spare to furnish and equip his new home. He would be very grateful for help to buy an electric cooker as he currently has no means of preparing hot food.

Total needed £120R has been living in a very basic hostel for almost year, due to lack of suitable housing after he was made homeless. He now has a flat, after his long wait, and is really keen to make it more liveable. R would really appreciate any help you could offer to get carpets for his bedroom and living room, as his floor is bare wood. He has been really proactive and has managed to source some furniture and some lamps, but the flooring lets in the cold and it would be a huge help to him to get carpets.
