Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
P, a single mum from India with two teenage children, has recently had to move into a new home and has no furniture. The entire family is currently sleeping on the floor and, as the weather turns colder, this will be increasingly uncomfortable. This lovely lady has worked very hard to further her education and find work, but the cost of moving has left her without the resources to furnish her children's room. P would be very grateful for any help received to make her children more comfortable
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £150This family of five, with three primary school age children, is in great need of a freezer to help provide healthy meals for the growing family. Mum is struggling to cope in these difficult times, and a freezer would help greatly so she can buy affordable healthy food. Their oldest child has severe learning difficulties and dad is a student from abroad. We are giving ongoing support to the family as they settle in the area and plan to stay long-term. They much appreciate any support given. Thank you.
Still £120 left to donate
Total needed £130Safe Families are supporting a family of four who are in need of a new tumble dryer. Due to their twelve year old son's complex needs, the parents are having to prioritise replacing items in the home that he has unfortunately damaged. This means they cannot afford to replace the broken tumble dryer. As the weather is getting colder, it is not always possible to line dry the washing, so currently their neighbours are helping to dry clothes in their dryers, but this is not a sustainable option.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200B, who has been out of jail for three months and is sofa surfing, is working on her relationship with her children and is walking two hours each way to see them on a Saturday and Sunday. She would love to have a bike, and Acts 435 did provide a bike for this applicant a few years ago, but all her belongings were lost when she went to prison. A bike would make it much easier to see the children, and there is a local bike hub who could provide one for £100.
