Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
J's landlord increased the rent on his property to a level that he could no longer afford, so he and his family had to leave their home. He has secured a new flat, but it is unfurnished. J has a low income and can't afford to purchase much. In particular, he doesn't have a bed for his 6 year old son. Due to the small size of the room his son will be in, a full-size bed won't fit, so he needs a futon-style bed to fit into the available space.

Total needed £200O is a seven year old child with serious neurological disorders which have given rise to extreme behavioural episodes. The family's lives revolve around his complex needs, and he has responded well to sensory equipment in hospital, where fibre optic curtain lights have had a calming effect on him. Installing these at home would be really beneficial to O and his family. The family are dependent upon benefits and are in debt due to other expenditure to help their son. They would greatly appreciate a donation for this equipment.

Total needed £190Can you please help my client X to get a freezer? He lives with his partner and two young children, and they have recently been victims of a burglary where the perpetrator destroyed items in their property, including their freezer. My client and his family are all on benefits and are struggling to pay bills and buy food shopping, so cannot afford to buy a replacement. X is struggling to budget without a freezer, and this appliance will make it easier to shop on such a low income.

Total needed £175S is a single mum who is struggling with rising cost of food, fuel and bills. She does not feel she has enough to pay for anything for the children for Christmas. S would not normally ask, but is very anxious this Christmas. She is working with Christians Against Poverty for debt help and is on a very tight budget. S has two teenagers to buy presents for and your gift would help to encourage this family over Christmas. Thank you very much for noticing this request.
