Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
E suffers with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and anxiety and is unable to work. She is in receipt of Universal Credit and is in the process of claiming Personal Independence Payments. She has outstanding rent arrears and is struggling financially. Her existing fridge freezer is not working and is not freezing. She would be able to shop and cook more economically with a working fridge freezer. Please can you help her with this request - she says it would make a massive difference. Thank you.
Still £190 left to donate
Total needed £200R lives alone and has not been able to work for over a year due to mental health problems. She suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and has frequent panic attacks. She receives Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payments and just about manages to cover her general spending, but has little left over for anything else. Her washing machine has broken down and there is no way she can afford to replace it herself. She would really appreciate your help.
Still £175 left to donate
Total needed £185This lady works as a carer, but has had to take time off for cancer treatment. She was not paid during that time, but as she shares a house and, therefore, rent with a friend, she has managed to keep debt free. However, they do not have a washing machine and this lady finds washing by hand very strenuous. Your help to purchase a reconditioned washer will be such a help to her.
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £150T is recovering from a brain injury and, as a result, has had to move accommodation in order to downsize. She only has basic benefits at the moment and her independence has really been impacted through the injury. T has no carpet in the property and it would mean the world to her if she could have some carpet in the living room and the bedroom, as the weather has suddenly got so cold. We can use a local provider to carpet both rooms for £200. Please could you help?
Still £200 left to donate
