Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
Our client, I, is twenty eight years old and a mum to two children. She works part-time around the school hours, as she feels It's important to teach the children a good work ethic, plus working gives her a sense of independence. Universal Credit pays her rent and tops-up her wages, but this still leaves little left for household items. Mum has no wardrobes for the children and really struggles for storage, causing chaos in the bedroom. She has asked for support with a wardrobe and small chest of drawers. Please can you help?

Total needed £200Our client, A, is fifty two years old and sadly suffered a terrible sexual assault in his own home. He cannot bear to sleep in his bed and the police have taken all his bedding for forensic examination. He now suffers with his mental health and is sleeping on his sofa. Our client's support worker feels that if the room was changed and he had a new bed and bedding, this would help him enormously. Our client only receives benefits, as he had to give up work and cannot afford to replace these items. Please could you help him have a fresh start?

Total needed £200Our client, a lovely lady who has learning difficulties, is forty eight years old and is so happy and smiling. Having got to the bottom of her problems, A has been paying an awful lot of her benefits to a scammer who told her she was helping children who live in poverty. Our client is now in arrears with her gas, and has no food. Please can you help with food, and gas arrears of £149. Thank you.

Total needed £200C, who has three adult children, has been plunged into debt through ill health, mixed with varying work patterns, which has meant she has had several overpayments of benefits. She has had to repay this on only the most basic income. During this time, C's garden has become a dumping ground for old electrical items and other rubbish. It would remove a little bit of misery if her garden was cleared, whilst Christians Against Poverty helps her deal with the bigger financial pressures.
