L is a severely disabled and housebound middle-aged woman who has many underlying health problems, including a crumbling spine. Two weeks ago she fell at home and broke her hip and wrist, and spent almost 3 hours trying to reach her phone to summon help. We wish to provide an emergency call button system for when L is discharged from hospital as she is still recovering from her injuries and may need urgent help at home.

Total needed £200My client at Christians Against Poverty is living in a 24 hour supported living accommodation. They have no television or mobile phone. This would help them greatly with feeling more at home and improve their mental health. The mobile phone would be useful for staff to contact him, as he can leave independently and also be able to contact his 20 year old daughter too. Please consider helping this client feel that he is cared for.

Total needed £200Our lovely debt client had to stop working due to an injury. She now lives on a very low budget. We would like to help her this month with her energy costs and a food shop. Also her daughter is getting married soon and it would make such a difference if we could help her buy some suitable clothing for the wedding.

Total needed £200N became homeless in 2022. He spent 3 months alternating between sleeping rough and sofa surfing then in temporary accommodation. This January he finally moved into a council property but it was unfurnished with no white goods. He is determined to use this as an opportunity to get his life back on track and is already training to be a barista, through a government funded program. £200 for a cooker would make a real difference to his quality of life and preparation for a meaningful future.

Total needed £200K is a veteran that was homeless for several years, suffering from severe mental health issues as a result of trauma from the army. He is trying to get back on his feet and budget and pay the bills but is on such a small income that he is unable to buy anything for the flat. He has no curtains or poles and is struggling with the sense of exposure and he is also unable to freeze food which is costing him more. £200 will get him a small freezer as well as curtains and poles, improving his quality of life so much.

Total needed £200M lived with his parents all his life and has few life skills as a result. His parents have both passed away recently and he feels lost. He had to move into a new flat and we are supporting him with building some new life skills. One of these is washing his clothes. He doesn't have a machine and has never done washing. We want to support him in this but he needs a washing machine otherwise the clothes will just never get washed. This would make a huge difference to him. Could we help?

Total needed £200This client is in need of a cooker. Her current cooker is a hazard as the oven is broken and the hob cannot be regulated and hence is dangerous. The client is in receipt of Personal Independence Payment due to a range of health issues including chronic back and leg pain, infection to the brain and hypothyroidism. She is considered to have a long term disability and definitely needs support to get a working cooker. Thank you so much for considering this request.

Total needed £200This family has endured homelessness and the challenges of temporary housing. They now have new permanent accommodation but without a working boiler and no carpets. Their home is cold and uncomfortable. Dad is coping with significant health issues, including Type 1 diabetes, previous sepsis, and the loss of a toe. Their one-year-old daughter is struggling with the discomfort of bare floors, and the family is struggling financially. We want to provide carpets to create a warmer and safer home.

Total needed £200B is a new refugee in the UK. He was a social worker in his home country and is keen to volunteer and work in charities in the UK, and continue his work in supporting people. He would love to work in refugee advocacy, as someone who has navigated the system and has lived experience. He would like a tablet so that he can apply for volunteer roles and make job applications in the charity sector, to help lift him out of poverty and support others.

Total needed £150We have been supporting a young Care Leaver for the past 7 months. We are now completing our support package and she is about to move into her own home. This is a very exciting but daunting time for her. Before we formally close, I would love to bless this young lady with an Argos gift voucher so that she can buy some new items for her new home. Having been living in shared accommodation she has no kitchen items or soft furnishings, so any donations would be gratefully received.

Total needed £150S is a single parent from Morocco with a 4 year old boy. She is in receipt of Universal Credit and has attended the Market Place for the past 3 years. She is a generous lady who often makes cakes for the Market Place clients to enjoy. She is unable to buy a bicycle for her 4 year old son and would very much like to do so. They live in a council flat with no outdoor space. This would mean S can take him to the park and get positive exercise instead of plain walking. Please can you help?

Total needed £90A spent years rough sleeping after family illness and breakdown triggered severe alcohol dependency. Despite deep trauma, he engaged fully with support, overcame addiction, and persevered to secure his own home. He is deeply grateful for the help he’s received and determined to rebuild and give back, hoping to volunteer locally. Ongoing illness and limited mobility mean a washing machine is vital to protect his health and independence.

Total needed £200This Sudanese refugee family have just secured a permanent council property. They are trying to furnish it for themselves but need a little bit of support. They have asked for very little in terms of support. Receiving a fridge-freezer would make a big difference for them because it will mean they can store their food properly and make home cooked meals. It will help them manage their money and reduce food waste. It will also help them settle into their new home more quickly.

Total needed £200P would benefit from further counselling to manage the complex family situation and the emotional impact of his mother’s ongoing acute myeloid leukaemia diagnosis and transplant needs. Travelling to visit his mother is expensive as she lives a few hundred miles away. Previous counselling has been very helpful but due to expensive travel costs to visit his mum he can't afford the much-needed counselling as well. £200 would fund 10 more sessions to help him work through everything.

Total needed £200M is on a very low income and spending a lot on public transport. M wants to travel around his city to get to know opportunities in the area, to reach appointments and training courses, job interviews and for social support. M is isolated after moving to the UK and a bike would allow him more freedom and independence to connect with activities and get to know people. M is keen to start work and a bike will allow him greater access to jobs that are at times when public transport stops.

Total needed £200This woman was living alone in a rat infested property, only eating once a day and suffering from extreme levels of physical and mental neglect. She has a diagnosis of Schizophrenia and very little in the way of a support network. When Social Care found her they immediately stepped in to make sure she was safe. She cannot return home without a fridge freezer (which we have been able to give) and a cooker. Understandably she is confused, scared and desperate for some normality. Can you please help get her a cooker? Thank you.

Total needed £200S is trying to improve his English so that he can apply for jobs and get work in the UK. He struggles to access online English courses and websites on his phone. S would like a laptop so that he can complete written documents, join interactive English learning sessions, apply for jobs and watch educational videos. Total needed £200This gentleman has recently become debt free through CAP. He continues to live on a very tight budget due to his learning difficulties and financial vulnerability. He lives alone, and access to a phone is essential for him to stay connected and supported. He requires a Samsung handset, as he is familiar with this type of phone as he used one for many years. His current phone broke, and his Mencap support worker has helped him identify a suitable replacement that he is comfortable using.

Total needed £125We are supporting a friend in Newcastle upon Tyne who has recently arrived from the turmoil in Afghanistan seeking sanctuary in the UK. He is very keen to learn English and is enrolled for classes in a local college. He would find a laptop an immense help, not least as he can continue to study outside of class. He is keen to integrate into society in his new country and a good command of English will help with this very considerably. Might you be able to help us to help him?
