£0 remaining for a washing machine
This client's previous washing machine did not work and has been removed from the property, but she is unable to replace it. As a single mum with three dependents she therefore struggles to do the laundry. E has debts in terms of rent arrears, council tax and utility bills which are currently recovered from her benefits. Thank you for considering helping this family.
V is a survivor of modern slavery with ongoing health problems who was mistreated in the accommodation he was given to live in while he recovered from his experiences. He came to us for help getting his life back on track. He has no income and no means of getting food besides food banks and support from friends. Please would you give to help V get a supermarket voucher to buy some groceries for this month until we can help him get the accommodation and income to which he is entitled?
Our client has been homeless for several months, which was a traumatic experience for him. A charity helped him to move into a flat, but he has no facilities there. He is sleeping on clothes on the floor, so a mattress would give him somewhere comfortable to sleep. Our client has no bedding so he would also really appreciate donations to help buy this. He has back problems, but hopes that an improvement in his living standards will enable him to look for a job.
Life has been very hard for B, who came here on a work visa as a carer, but gradually developed mental health problems and was eventually sacked. Unable to pay his rent, B became homeless and now sleeps on friends' floors when he can. His phone has been stolen and he struggles to make contact with agencies that are helping him. B urgently needs a waterproof coat as he spends hours walking on the street. Being able to travel and phone people would greatly help him to improve his situation.
