Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

E, who has been seriously ill, has moved to be closer to her daughter to receive support. Unfortunately, the removal firm failed to take all of her items, leaving a lot of them behind. The council has disposed of everything, resulting in E losing her wardrobe, all of her crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and bedding. E was looking forward to her new life. Being able to replace the lost items would be beneficial to her physical and mental health, and enable her to fully settle in to her new home.

Total needed £150N, who had a house fire in June, lost everything and, sadly, was uninsured. She has been living in a hotel with her three children and it has been really challenging. Fortunately, she has found a new home with a local social landlord, but it comes without floor coverings. Because of N's low income, she simply can't afford to buy carpets. One of her children is disabled and she is desperate to make the new house into a home. Carpets would be an important part of that. We have an offer of free carpets, but need your help to pay for the fitting.

Total needed £200Y has been living in temporary accommodation with her young son after fleeing domestic violence. She has been offered a property, but is starting from scratch. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has spent what little savings she had on moving into the new home. The property has no carpets down and Y is worried for the health and safety of her son. He has asthma and is a bit of a live wire! Carpets down would make the home warmer and safer. Any help would be gratefully received for the fitting of free of charge carpets.
