Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

This gentleman first made contact with us when he was sitting in the dark with no heating as he had no money for electricity. We have worked with him to help him with his debts and bills. This gentleman is in need of vinyl flooring. We can source the vinyl for free, but need help with the cost of fitting. He would also like a blind for his living room window as he feels it is very open and not private. This would also help with heating costs.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200This gentleman came to the St Vincent de Paul centre after becoming homeless, following a fall out with his mother’s partner. He was discharged from the career he loved after a late epilepsy diagnosis, which led to mental health struggles and substance misuse. Despite his challenges, this gentleman has been clean for six months and is determined to rebuild his life with stable accommodation. We are asking for your support to provide respite in bed and breakfast accommodation for three nights, and some clothing, offering warmth and dignity while he secures permanent housing.
Still £175 left to donate
Total needed £200B is a forty eight year old gentleman who has severe mental health difficulties and is dependent on benefits. He has been suffering from a bedbug infestation, which has worsened his mental health state, and which was not resolved after two treatments. A donation would enable B to receive one final treatment from a professional exterminator to resolve the issue.
Still £100 left to donate
Total needed £100Vinyl flooring is required for a household with sight impaired child, as the existing worn flooring is a trip hazard. This child lives with his young adult sibling in a kinship care arrangement. The birth parents couldn’t look after the child due to long term drug addiction, so it is a very traumatic background for this innocent child.
