"What a morning I’ve had, after dealing with kids not wanting to go school and my stress level off the charts, and all I want to do is shut the door on the world. Then I get a call saying some complete strangers have donated to help me get a cooker, can you believe it."

£150 needed for a three door wardrobe
H is in receipt of Universal Credit and, along with her family, has recently been moved from temporary furnished accommodation into a secure unfurnished council flat. There are lots of things she needs to furnish the flat and make it a home, and we have been organising various donations and second-hand items for her. The big item that she really needs support with is a large, family-sized, three door wardrobe. Any donations towards one would be really appreciated. Thank you.
£200 needed for a new kitchen floor
K is single woman who has recently had problems with her boiler, resulting in plumbing overflowing and damaging the floor. She has a number of mental health conditions including bipolar, insomnia, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). K's health conditions have resulted in her being unable to work, and she is only in receipt of Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment, which is a struggle with the rising costs of living, let alone saving. We are requesting support for K to be able to get flooring for her kitchen.
£200 needed for a slimline dishwasher
CG suffers from severe fibromyalgia, chronic pain syndrome in her back, which makes standing difficult, and also struggles with mental health issues. She is a single mum with two young boys who have special needs and are on the spectrum. CG finds it very difficult to stand to wash dishes and so would greatly appreciate a small dishwasher to help her cope.
£200 needed for a phone top-up, water bill and food voucher
Y was in control of her life until she had to fly to the Caribbean to attend her dying father. She could not come back to the UK due to an issue with her passport. Y spent a fortune during her time there, sorting out the document. She did not earn in that time and her bills in the UK were mounting up. By the time she made it back home, she was deeply in debt, which Christians Against Poverty is helping her with. Y skips meals so her special needs daughter can eat, and we want to top up her cupboard, help with her water bill and top-up her phone.
£200 needed for a fridge freezer
A, a single mother who is caring for two children, is disabled and on Universal Credit. She has also been a victim of domestic abuse. The fridge freezer has broken down and mum is unable to pay for a replacement. Please can you help to provide this basic need.
£200 needed for a single bed, mattress and bedding
I have just made contact with this client who is living in temporary accommodation with her two year old daughter. In terms of a budget, mum has very little spare money as, after her monthly outgoings, she only has £30 left to live on for the rest of the month. My client would very much like to work part-time, but does not have any family or support system in place to help with childcare. To be able to buy a single bed, mattress and bedding for her daughter would be very special. Thank you.
£200 needed for clothing, shoes and food parcels
This lady, who has been a regular here at the centre for many months, comes to gain a sense of belonging as she does not have a strong support network or family helping her. It gives her a sense of community, visiting us and catching up with other guests from day to day. This lady has many mental health diagnoses, making her unable to work, and she is on minimal benefits. Please can you help to provide clothing (she is wearing worn out and damaged items) and food parcels so she can eat a healthy meal.
£120 needed for a food voucher
L, who had an accident and damaged her knee, now has arthritis and had to stop working. Her only income for a year has been Universal Credit. Her partner left her and she has been struggling to manage household bills alone, accruing debts. We have supported with debt and benefits advice. L started a new job recently and is trying to make a fresh start, but she is struggling financially due to the cost of living and would appreciate any help towards a food voucher to help her in the short term, whilst she gets back on track.
£150 needed for a bed and a chest of drawers for the baby
F, who is on a spouse visa and not eligible for any public funds, has a 6 months old baby and 3 other step-children. Mum and her partner, who are unemployed and struggle with their mental health, urgently need a bed as they don't have a separate bed for the baby. Currently the baby sleeps with F on the same bed, which is not safe for the baby. They also need a chest of drawers for the baby to put her clothes and other items in. Any support would be appreciated.
