September Prayer Bulletin
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength - Isaiah 40:31
As a charity the slightly quieter summer months are now behind us, and we're excited for all that God has in store for us as a charity over the coming months.
We're thankful that we have been able to help over 45 families with school uniforms for their children in time for the new school year - please do join us in praying for all those children who are heading back to school in England this week. We do still have 10 requests for families in our School Uniform Appeal, so please pray that these get met quickly.
As a team we're beginning to discuss our Christmas Appeal, and other opportunities that we might look to take up in 2024. We would really appreciate your prayer as we think about how we can best promote Acts 435 to potential new donors, and new churches too.
Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:
Our School Uniform Appeal that has helped over 45 families, and enabled many children to go to school with dignity and confidence in their new uniform.
The opportunity to take part in a prayer resource that is being put together by Jubilee+, and includes lots of our friends, such as Welcome Churches and Safe Families. We have now written our entry, so please pray that it will be a fantastic resource for individuals and churches, and also enables more people to learn about what we do.
An opportunity with Church Works who bring together churches and the Government to see change in communities. We hope to be able to sit alongside other charities who can speak into their conversations, and resource more local churches.
The 571 individuals and families who have been helped in August by Acts 435 Advocates and donors with £87,125 distributed to those who need it most.
Please join us in praying for:
Please continue to pray for the amount of time that requests are waiting to be met. Today the average number of days for a request to be met is 12, which means that urgent requests are not met as quickly as they could be. Please do pray for new donors to find out about our work, and for our regular donors to be prompted.
The team as we talk about what opportunities we might look to take in 2024 - as a small staff team we want to make sure these are the right ones!
Our local partners, and those that they are supporting, as they begin to look towards the autumn/winter months when many will be affected by the increased energy costs once again.
As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.
