September Prayer Bulletin

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12

I have just taken my two eldest children back to school for the new academic year. However, we had one panic moment this morning when one of them had outgrown most of their school shorts over the summer. It made me very aware of how vital our school uniform appeal has been to many families as children continue to grow out of their uniforms. Please join us in thanking God for all the generous donors who gave towards school uniform requests this summer. Please do also pray for all the children, and their families, as they start this new school year.

As we look to the autumn as a charity we are very aware that the needs posted on our website will continue to increase as the rising-cost-of-living is felt more keenly by more people; and we hope to be able to fulfil all of these needs with the help of generous donors. Please do pray for this coming season, and that those who need help through Acts 435, or elsewhere, will seek it. 

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

• The generous response to our school uniform appeal, which enabled many children to go to school with more confidence and hope this academic year.
• Several opportunities to share our work with other partner organisations, such as Jubilee+ and Welcome Churches.  
• A wonderful blog article by our friends Stewardship, who highlight Acts 435 as a charity who are tackling the cost-of-living-crisis: https://www.stewardship.org.uk/cost-living-crisis-christian-charities
• The 627 individuals and families who have been helped in August by Acts 435 advocates and donors with £80,080 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

• Our team as we navigate the autumn and the increase in need from the rising-cost-of-living-crisis.
• Pray for more churches to partner with us to meet the needs of those hit hardest by the current rising costs.
• Jenny, our Executive Director, as she records a video for Jubilee+ to send out on their social media and their church partners.
• Our website developers as they continue with another stretch of work, which will solve some of the ongoing problems with the website.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.
