November Prayer Bulletin

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1:5

I was reminded yesterday, as I watched fireworks from our window, that a gift from Acts 435 provides light in the darkness for many recipients. The light is not only the practical item, but the showing of God's love and hope in their situation.

This single mum's washing machine broke, which, after a difficult divorce and with three small children, felt like the last straw. She was so thankful to be able to see a light at the end of the tunnel, which was thanks to Acts 435 donors supporting her to replace her washing machine:

“Thank you so much for this kind donation. It makes me feel humble, knowing there are wonderful people around, making the world a better place! My life has been full of stress and abuse. I can see a light at the end of my tunnel, and you have been a part of my journey. Thank you so very much.”

Please join us in thanking God for using Acts 435 gifts to shine His light on those in need, and that we're able to continue to reach more people who are struggling.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

All of our local Partners who continue to share our work with their churches/supporters or with other organisations. Their enthusiasm for Acts 435 brings new donors and partners onboard with our work, which enables us to continue to support more individuals.

New and fresh connections with other networks, such as Baby Basics. Please pray we can resource many of their churches who are already reaching out into their communities.

The 495 individuals and families who have been helped in October by Acts 435 Advocates and Donors, with £81,475 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

Our partner churches and charities as they look towards the winter months when the need often increases, especially in the lead up to Christmas.

A new connection with Your Local Pantry, which provides the framework for churches to run pantries for their local communities. Please pray that a webinar for their pantries will be well attended in the new year.

Our team, as well as our freelance designer, as we look towards our Christmas Campaign, and how we can best engage donors and supporters over the festive season.

Finally, I just wanted to share this wonderful message of thanks, which is a fantastic encouragement as we pray for our work, and those we seek to help. This dad was helped to buy an airfryer to cook nutritious meals for him and his daughter:

"Thank you so much for your help, I've felt so blessed by this. Since I came to faith I've had so much help and felt God providing for me. So many people have supported me recently and this will make it so I can cook for me and my daughter when I have her round."

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.

Best wishes,
Katie
