March Prayer Bulletin

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:16

I am updating this monthly bulletin slightly later than normal this month, but for a very good reason. Last week we had a very busy week with some wonderful events, and much to thank God for.

On Friday of last week our friends at Stewardship shared a reflection from our Executive Director, Jenny Herrera, during their Lent resource called 40acts. Those receiving the email were challenged to be generous and give to a need on our website. During the course of 24 hours, over 550 new donors found out about the work of Acts 435 and went onto the website to give directly to meet the specific need of an individual or family, all giving what they were able. In total they collectively gave an astonishing £30,000 towards the needs of 187 individuals and families.

We're so thankful for Stewardship, and all the donors who enabled this biggest day of giving we have ever seen! Please join us in thanking God for this incredible provision, and for the specific needs that were supported, which will be directly given to the 187 individuals and families. Please also pray that these gifts will have a big impact on the individuals, and that they will demonstrate God's love for them.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

The £30,000 given to support 187 individuals and families in just 24 hours, which was given by the Stewardship 40acts community.

A wonderful time at our annual event, Giving Hope Together, last Thursday. We were joined by around 70 supporters, donors and partners from all over the UK, who came together to celebrate our 15th anniversary and be inspired by the work that we're doing through local churches and charities.

Two fantastic opportunities we have had to share our work with partner churches for Faith in Later Life (https://faithinlaterlife.org/meeting-the-needs-of-older-people-in-poverty) and with Churches Together in England (https://cte.org.uk/acts-435-15th-anniversary). Please pray that these articles will inspire both of these networks, and that we will see them bear fruit in terms of new partners.

An answer to prayer for C, from Dereham, who we recently supported with emergency dental treatment costs. When she went for her first consultation, the fee was waived by the dental practice, and so her gift from Acts 435 will go even further towards her treatment - praise God!

The 473 individuals and families who have been helped in February by Acts 435 Advocates and Donors, with £76,880 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

Our Communications Director, Katie, who is attending the Churches Together in England Forum conference next week. Please pray that she will be able to have many great conversations about our work, and be able to make good connections, especially with denominations where we don't currently have many partners.

A press release which we are sending out to our contacts today, which will celebrate our huge day of giving last week. Please pray that many will be willing to take this opportunity to share our good news, and that it will have a great impact.

Our team during the build up to Easter, as we begin to think about, and share, our Fresh Start campaign.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.

Best wishes,

Katie
