December Prayer Bulletin

"I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."

John 14:27

This Christmas we're asking donors to 'give another gift' to individuals and families in need, in the hope that we can meet all their requests for help by Christmas Day.

We were prompted to use the specific word 'gift' for our Christmas Campaign this year by the Bible verse above, which is a wonderful reminder of the gift that Jesus came to Earth to be for us all.

Therefore, this Christmas we would appreciate your prayer for our Christmas Campaign, and that we will be able to meet all the needs posted onto our website in time for Christmas Day. We would also ask that you pray for each individual who is helped through Acts 435, and especially that they would know something of this amazing gift that Jesus gives at Christmas.

Some of our Partners have recently been sharing this gift, and we wanted to also encourage you with a story from one of our partner churches in Bodmin, Cornwall. Jon, the local Advocate, wrote to let us know:

"We started an Afternoon Alpha last week and it got off to a great start. Three men [attended] who we would not have met if it hadn’t been for Acts 435 – so what a blessing! Amazing what a washing machine can do!!"

Please pray for more outcomes like this one from our local Partners across the UK.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

All of our local Partners who go above and beyond, especially during December, for those in need.

Our Partners who are sharing the Good News of Jesus all year round, but especially this Christmas time. Just like Ann, from Newcastle, did. As she explained to the recipient that his request had been fulfilled, she was able to offer him prayer too, she then wrote:

"T has asked me to express his very, very grateful thanks. When I told him that the money that we had requested had been raised, he cried. It was a very humbling moment. It opened up his very guarded thoughts and feelings and he explained the overwhelming anxiety that he was carrying in relation to his debt. T feels your gift to him will lift his mood and help him through the days and weeks ahead. I offered to pray with him and he welcomed this. Your gift opened the door to him experiencing Jesus for the first time. Thank you so much."

New and fresh connections with other networks, such as Transforming Lives for Good and City Missions. Please pray for fruit from these conversations, and that we would be able to see new partners, and more people helped, through these connections.

The 507 individuals and families who have been helped in November by Acts 435 Advocates and Donors, with £85,755 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

The three gentlemen who are attending the Alpha at our Partner church in Bodmin. Please pray that they find the gift of Jesus this Christmas.

Our Christmas Campaign, which will run throughout December. Please pray that we can meet as many needs as possible, and that as in previous years, we can meet them all by Christmas Day.

Our Carpet Project that we have previously shared about in our bulletin. We have just extended this to all of our Key Partners. Please pray that it will be successful in helping them to address this specific need for those in their communities.

Our local Advocates who will be seeing the need increase in their communities in the run up to Christmas, and during the colder months.

Our staff team as they take a break over the festive season. Please pray for a refreshing time with family and friends.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.

We hope you have a blessed Christmas time,  Merry Christmas!
