The gift of independence
This single man, James, who is nearing retirement, is struggling financially, following a divorce and period of homelessness, and is now working with Christians Against Poverty to free him from debt. Recently he has suffered two heart attacks and developed arthritis, making it difficult to get about. He needed his car to be able to get to work, but had no funds to be able to afford this, as his budget is unsustainable. By providing the funds to repair his car, Acts 435 donors made a real difference, which will enable him to rebuild his life. He said:
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for helping me get my car back on the road. Your generosity and willingness to assist me during a difficult time mean more to me than words can express. My health conditions make it challenging for me to navigate daily tasks, and having reliable transportation is crucial for my well-being. Your assistance in getting my car repaired has lifted a tremendous burden off my shoulders and allowed me to regain some independence. I am truly touched by your kind gesture and am forever grateful for your support. Your selflessness and willingness to help others are truly admirable. Thank you once again for your invaluable help. I will never forget your generosity and will always hold you in high regard. With heartfelt appreciation, James.
