Support during grief

Chandice* and Marc* lost their baby boy at just ten days old. They managed to cover most of his funeral costs with government grants, and help from the funeral home. However, there were some costs that weren't covered. Obviously, no parent ever expects to bury their child, and this came as a huge shock and pain to this family, their other surviving children and friends. The local Advocate supporting the family said: "These funds won't take away their pain and grief, but will help a family who were preparing to bring him home, but instead are planning his funeral."

After the funds were raised through Acts 435 the local Advocate sent through this message:

Thank you so much for your generous gift to this family who are going through such a painful and difficult experience. When I let them know the funds had come in, and so quickly, the baby's mum said, "Please thank them so much from me, people are so unbelievably kind." That is what you have shown this family; kindness and compassion. As painful as it was to leave the graveside, they at least have some comfort that when their time comes, they will be laid to rest with him. There are no words that can show how much that means other than thank you.
