Helping life to get better
Georgia* lost her job and got into debt because of Covid and the rising cost of living. She then lost her relationship and home. She has been homeless for a while, but has now been given a home, which was not furnished.
Georgia needed a washing machine, not only for the everyday clothes but so that she could go to job interviews in clean clothes. Georgia has always worked, and she desperately wants to provide for her family, and not rely on Universal Credit.
Georgia's family have been helping as much as they can, but are struggling financially themselves.
Acts 435 donors gave towards Georgia's request for help, and provided a much-needed washing machine. Here is what Georgia had to say on receiving it:
"My day just gets better and better! I opened the curtains this morning with a different attitude to life and I feel alive again! I’m going for a job interview and I am positive I will get it. I will be able to keep the uniform clean and fresh, now that my washing machine is coming. I can look my daughter in the face with a smile, not a frown, thanks to your kindness. It’s not just a washing machine, it’s a life changer."
