Help to save Christmas

After fleeing domestic violence and being moved to a new area, Kathryn* is doing a great job with her four children aged thirteen, twelve, six and four. Trying to settle them into new schools is especially difficult for the three youngest, as they all have special needs and struggle with change.

Kathryn is unable to work as she is a full-time carer for the children. She had been trying to replace items she had to leave behind and to start again, but this has left her with no money for Christmas food and gifts for the children this year.

Acts 435 donors have stepped in to help, and make sure that the family have a brighter Christmas after all the trauma they had experienced. The local Advocate shared the good news that the request had been met, and Kathryn "broke down in tears and couldn't find the words". Kathryn was then able to share her thanks:

You have saved our Christmas and I don't know how I can ever thank you. Without your help there would be no presents under the tree this year. Now I can't wait to see their faces on Christmas morning and we will have plenty of food. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas.
