Giving hope to those feeling overwhelmed

When W was referred to her local Advocate, her community worker told them that she has escaped some of the worst domestic violence they had ever seen. W is now desperate for a fresh start for herself, and her daughters.

Her eldest daughter is starting at Secondary School in September, and needed new school shoes, stationery, a P.E. bag and trainers. Her youngest daughter also needed items for school. When the local Advocate saw W last week, W was overwhelmed with how she would afford it all alongside her ongoing bills. The Advocate said: "we mentioned applying to Acts 435 for support and it gave her hope."

W had been so worried about new school shoes, trainers, stationery and all her girls' school needs when I told her about your gift she was so delighted and said: "That is incredible thank you so much, honestly you don't know how much [that amount] stretches and how much it means."
