£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
This family of a mum and five children fled domestic violence and have recently been re-housed. They were not able to take any large household items or furniture with them, so they are starting over. Mum is managing on benefits and is uncomplaining, as they now feel safe, which is such a great thing for them. However, a fridge freezer would help them a lot, especially for when the weather warms up.
W would like help and support with a new single bed and mattress. Unfortunately, an accident happened at home and a fire destroyed his bed and some furniture. W is getting support to cover most of the urgent furniture required, but this does not cover a bed. He only receives Universal Credit which all goes on bills and food. W would be extremely grateful if your generosity would allow him to get a new bed.

This is extremely uncomfortable for the client, as she already suffers with chronic pain and spinal issues, but she has no other choice. P's mental health has declined as she is not able to relax and have a comfortable night’s sleep. She is waiting for her Personal Independence Payment claim to be reviewed. Once P's bills are paid, she has very little income and no family to help. Please can you help her to replace her bed and mattress?
This family, who have three children, and came to the UK as asylum seekers after fleeing violence in Nigeria, have now been granted leave to remain. They are moving into a council house tomorrow, but will have no white goods and not much furniture. The council has stated that they are not eligible for a resettlement grant because dad was given a work permit and has been working part-time for about a year. They are trying to buy what they can, but a cooker is beyond their means at present.
