R has recently been placed in an unfurnished property with her family, comprising of three adults and a child. Her household is vulnerable, and without the income to fund the cost of furnishings for their new home. Our client has mental and physical health conditions and is house bound, but not receiving Personal Independence Payment, although she will be applying soon, due to her disabilities. There are quite a lot of items needed, but R has confirmed that a sofa is a priority. Thank you so much for considering her.
V is a survivor of modern slavery with ongoing health problems who was mistreated in the accommodation he was given to live in while he recovered from his experiences. He came to us for help getting his life back on track. He has no income and no means of getting food besides food banks and support from friends. Please would you give to help V get a supermarket voucher to buy some groceries for this month until we can help him get the accommodation and income to which he is entitled?
J, who is over sixty five years of age, has lived in the UK for over twenty years with her children and recent grandchildren. She has been struggling with immigration issues in the UK for the past two years and has experienced financial difficulties and homelessness. J's immigration issues have been resolved and she now needs to apply for help with housing and public funds to end her destitution. To do this, she needs to apply for a passport, as she is still waiting for the Home Office to issue her with any documents.
This client, who has lived in a series of insecure tenancies, has recently been homeless for several months, which was a traumatic experience for him. He has been placed in a flat with no facilities and is currently sleeping on clothes on the floor, so a bed with drawers for storage would be very helpful. Due to difficulties with his back, our client is not working, but hopes that he can turn his life around and find a job.
